This World Cancer Day we’re proud to be partnered with Macmillan Cancer Support
World Cancer Day takes place on the 4th February each year. The international day is aimed at raising awareness about cancer, promoting its prevention, detection, and treatment.
As the number of people with cancer continues to rise, the experience of cancer is getting worse for many people. Macmillan are here for everybody living with cancer, with specialist information, support and services.
But they can’t do it alone. 98% of their work is funded by generous donations.
This World Cancer Day we’re hosting a UK-wide Bowl-a-thon to show our support and raise vital funds
Here’s how to get involved…
1. Visit your local Hollywood Bowl centre between 5pm - 8pm on Wednesday the 4th February 2026
2. Head over to our dedicated Bowl-a-thon lane and donate £1 to play a frame of bowling
3. As a thank you for participating, if you score a strike or a spare you can spin our lucky wheel for the chance to win prizes!

Hollywood Bowl Group are proud to partner with Macmillan Cancer Support. 1 in 2 people will receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. Our partnership will help Macmillan do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer.
When someone is diagnosed with cancer, it affects every part of their life. Macmillan is a lifeline, providing vital physical, financial and emotional support. With Hollywood Bowl Group’s help, Macmillan will be able to keep their essential phone support line open and fund the development of thousands more healthcare professionals to provide much needed support.
We're also pleased to share that every time a new team member completes induction, we will donate an extra £15 to Macmillan!
We’re not just about strikes and spares - our teams love getting involved to support Macmillan Cancer Support!
Across our Hollywood Bowl and Putt and Play centres, our amazing team members set up fun and creative fundraising activities to bring communities together and support a great cause.
When you visit, look out for donation points and sometimes events happening in our centres. In 2024 we raised an incredible £110k — and we’re aiming even higher this year!
