We want to make your child or teen’s birthday celebration unforgettable! To help you plan the perfect party, we’ve answered the most frequently asked questions about our birthday packages below.
Party guests enjoy one hour of bowling, with food served during that time at the lanes with our kids and teens party package, or upgrade to the kids + birthday party package and the meal will be served in a seated area after the game. A food pre-order form will be provided at check-in.
The Play 4 Prize redemption ticket is a receipt given to the birthday child and party guests by a team member. This can be exchanged for prizes from the Play 4 Prizes counter.
Each party requires a minimum of six guests. The maximum varies by centre - typically between 18 and 24 guests. Please contact your local centre for exact limits.
We recommend booking as far in advance as possible, especially if yor child's birthday falls during busy school holidays. Ideally, book at least one week in advance. The minimum notice required is one day.
The free game voucher is for one game of bowling, for one person.
The free game voucher is vaild for 3 months from the date of issue and can only be redeemed at the issuing centre. Redemption on the same day is at the centre's discretion.
Yes, only when booking by a phone call with more than one week's notice, you can pay a 50% deposit. This secures your booking and gives you time to confirm final guest numbers. Online bookings require full payment.
You may bring your own pre-cut cake or cupcakes. Knives are not allowed, and we do not provide them. Regular candles are permitted, and you must bring your own lighter. Centres may store cakes at their discretion and are not liable for any damage.
Yes, decorations are welcome - please remove them at the end of your party.
Mascots and entertainers are not permitted due to safeguarding and to avoid any confusion that they are affiliated with Hollywood Bowl.
Food is included for guests booked on the party package and food choices are typically arranged on the day. Guests not included in the party (e.g. non-bowling attendees, parents) can pre-order food online or can order food and drinks in centre directly to your lane or table simply by scanning the QR code on your menu or table.

If you book before 2pm on a working day, invitations are sent the same day. Bookings made after 2pm, on weekends, or bank holidays will be processed the next working day. Invites are sent out via first class post, so delivery times will depend on Royal Mail. You can also request a PDF version by contacting: [email protected]
All open-toed footwear - including Crocs and sliders - is not allowed for safety reasons. Guests can wear their own shoes if they are flat and closed-toed.

Sprinkle an extra little bit of sparkle onto the day’s celebrations with a VIP upgrade. For an extra £2* per child, kids get to bowl in our VIP lanes and get an ice cream, slushie or fizzy drink. Adults can upgrade from £5* per person to bowl in our VIP lanes, and get an extra alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink.

Buying party food can be a bit of a pricey option too, which is why at our centres have food options that are available with our affordable party packages. We have a delicious menu available on-site with yummy snacks and sharers, sides and mains – your mini-bowlers can choose the food they like to refresh and refuel them after a fun-filled bowling party.
