• Do I need to book mini golf in advance?

  We recommend it! While you can sometimes walk in and play, our Colchester mini golf course can get busy, especially during weekends and holidays. Booking in advance guarantees your slot.

• Can i play mini golf without booking bowling?

  Yes - you're welcome to play mini golf on its own. Just select mini golf on its own when booking, or ask at the front desk if you're dropping in.

• how long does a round of mini golf take?

  It depends on your group size and how competitive you're feeling! On average, a round takes around 20-30 minutes for 2-4 people.

• • Is mini golf suitable for kids?

    Definitely. Our indoor mini golf course in Colchester is designed for all ages, and it's a great way to keep kids entertained during the holidays.

  • How many holes are there?

    Our Colchester mini golf course has 12 holes.

  • Is there free parking available?

    There is 3 hours free parking for Hollywood Bowl customers, please validate your ticket in our centre. The centre is accessed through the slip road on Via Urbis Romanae, with the entrance to the car park directly opposite to Greggs and Wendys. Please click here for directions to our car park.

  • How Many People Can I go bowling with?

    In all our centres there is no limit on the number of people who can bowl together in a group.

    We have installed full height dividers between the lane seating areas. The maximum capacity we allow on each lane is 8 players.
    

  • Can I Get Food and Drink Whilst Bowling?

    Yes, of course, you can get food and drink whilst at Hollywood Bowl. Food and drinks can be ordered using the QR code on tables and menus, at selected centres, or from the bar and Diner.

    We recommend that you pre-order food and drink when booking your game. If you do wish to order and pay in centre, contactless payments are preferred.
    

  • Do you have disabled access?

    Yes.

  • Do you have concession rates?

    Yes, we offer a concession rate of around 50% for disabled guests and their carers, as well as seniors.
    This rate is available every weekday before 6pm, for 48 weeks out of 52, including the summer and Easter holidays.

  • How long does a game of bowling take?

    We allow 10 minutes per person, per game. Therefore, 1 game for 2 guests is allocated a 20 minute time slot.
    2 games for 2 guests would be allocated a 40 minute time slot, etc.

  • Do I have to pay to watch someone else bowl?

    No. If you want to watch someone bowl without playing then there is no charge for this.

  • Do you have free wifi?

    Yes, you can access free wifi in our centre using the cloud.

  • Is there a cashpoint nearby?

    Yes

  • Do you have a change machine for the amusements?

    Yes.

  • Do you have VIP lanes?

  • Does your bar show sports?

    No.

  • Is there disabled parking available?

    Yes, there is disabled parking available within the Leisure park.

  • Do you have air conditioning?

    Yes.

  • How long does a game of mini golf take?

    A game of mini golf takes approximately 10 minutes per person for one course. So if six people were playing on one course together, it would typically last about an hour.  The more courses you play, the longer the game will last.

  • Can I bring my own putter or balls?

    Putters and balls that are not provided by Hollywood Bowl cannot be used on our courses.

  • Is Hollywood Bowl dog friendly?

    With the exception of trained guide or assistance dogs, no animals are permitted into our centres. Trained guide or assistance dogs must be well-behaved at all times when supporting a customer in our centres.
