• Do I need to book mini golf in advance?

  We recommend it! While you can sometimes walk in and play, our York mini golf course can get busy, especially during weekends and holidays. Booking in advance guarantees your slot.

• Can I play mini golf without booking bowling?

  Yes – you’re welcome to play mini golf on its own. Just select mini golf on its own when booking, or ask at the front desk if you're dropping in.

• How long does a round of mini golf take?

  It depends on your group size and how competitive you're feeling! On average, a round takes around 20–30 minutes for 2–4 people.
   

• • Is mini golf suitable for kids?

    Definitely. Our indoor mini golf course in York is designed for all ages, and it’s a great way to keep kids entertained during the holidays.

  • How many holes are there?

    We have three 9-hole themed courses at our York location

  • How many people can I go bowling or play mini golf with?

    In all our centres there is no limit on the number of people who can bowl together in a group.

    We have installed full height dividers between the lane seating areas. The maximum capacity we allow on each lane is 8 players.

    For mini golf, currently you can only book for 6 people. A maximum of 60 people are allowed on each course at one time.

  • Can I get food and drink whilst bowling or playing mini golf?

    Yes, of course, you can get food and drink whilst at Hollywood Bowl. Food and drinks can be ordered using the QR code on tables and menus, at selected centres, or from the bar and diner.

    We recommend that you pre-order food and drink when booking your game. If you do wish to order and pay in centre, contactless payments are preferred.

     

  • Do you have disabled access?

    Yes, our centre is on the ground floor and has full disabled access. There is lift acess to our second floor with mini golf and arcade machines.

  • Is there free parking available?

    Yes, there is free parking available outside our centre, with a 4 hour maximum stay.

  • Do you have concession rates?

    Yes, we offer a concession rate of around 50% for disabled guests and their carers, as well as seniors.
    This rate is available every weekday before 6pm, for 48 weeks out of 52, including the summer and Easter holidays.

  • How long does a game of bowling or mini golf take?

    We allow 10 minutes per person, per game. Therefore, 1 game for 2 guests is allocated a 20 minute time slot.
    2 games for 2 guests would be allocated a 40 minute time slot, etc.

    A game of mini golf takes approximately 10 minutes per person for one course. So if six people were playing on one course together, it would typically last about an hour. The more courses you play, the longer the game will last.

  • Can I bring my own putter or balls?

    We provide putters & balls, so all you need to bring is your 'A' game!

  • Do I have to pay to supervise my group bowl or play mini golf?

    No. If you want to watch someone bowl or putt without playing then there is no charge for this.

  • Do you have free wifi?

    Yes, there is free wifi in our centre.

  • Is there a cashpoint nearby?

    Yes, we have an ATM in our amusements area.

  • Do you have a change machine for the amusements?

    Yes.

  • Do you have play for prizes?

  • Does your bar show sports?

    No.

  • Is there disabled parking available?

    Yes, there is disabled parking available.

  • Do you have air conditioning?

    Yes.

  • What is your dress code?

    There is no set dress code, other than that we ask our guests to remove any hoods and caps so that we can see their smiling faces! Obviously, we ask that you behave appropriately and considerately at all times, which covers wearing appropriate clothing for a family centre.

    For bowling lanes, we prefer everyone (adults and children) to bowl in their own shoes at our centres, as long as they are a flat soled, closed toe shoes.

  • Do you sell gift vouchers?

    Yes, we have vouchers available for either £10 or £20 that can be used for bowling or mini golf. These can be bought from your local centre directly, or you can call our contact centre on 0844 826 1457^. Alternatively, if you’re interested in gift vouchers as part of employee rewards, please email [email protected] for more details or submit your enquiry to us via our contact page.

  • Is Hollywood Bowl dog friendly?

    With the exception of trained guide or assistance dogs, no animals are permitted into our centres. Trained guide or assistance dogs must be well-behaved at all times when supporting a customer in our centres.
